Duo di Donne are a string duo based in Athens, Greece and is formed to perform at weddings, christenings, wedding proposals, baptisms, parties, corporate events, and any special occasion!
Meet the duo:
Elli was born in Athens on January 25, 1993.
At the age of 6, she started violin lessons at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory in the class of Nadia Sarantidou, and she received her diploma with an Excellent grade. She teaches violin at 4 conservatories in Athens to children and adults. She has participated in numerous concerts as a member of an orchestra as well as as a soloist in venues such as the Athens Concert Hall, National Opera, Piraeus Municipal Theater and other musical venues.
Elli met Vasiliki when they were both students and participated in the students’ Conservatory orchestra. Later they started working together and their friendship and love for music led them to found Duo di Donne, the string duo which has been the music companion to so many couples’ special moments.
Vasiliki is a cello graduate (Diploma of Violoncello with Honors and 1st prize, class of Marina Kislitsina, at Philippos Nakas Conservatory).
She was employed as a cello teacher at 3 Conservatories and she is also a cello tutor for children and adults. She has participated in many concerts and events in several places, among others, in Megaro Mousikis, Acropolis Museum, Delphi Archaeological Museum (Art Campus Delphi), Theatre Kolonou, and Chytirio Theatre.
Elli and Vasiliki were friends and fellow teachers at the Conservatories when they decided to put their mutual passion for music into motion and found the string duo Duo di Donne. Ever since they are traveling through life together whilst they are playing their favorite music at events around Greece.
